Cyber Vampire
Cyber Vampir Character Concept Art
Part 2: 3D
Last year I did a sculpt of a cyber vampire. It was a very quick thing. I had an image in my mind, did a little sketch and went straight to ZBrush. While I like it I felt there wasn't enough story telling there. So, I decided to give it another go.
This time I took some time thinking about the character.
He is an ancient vampire, that roamed the world for many millennia, and even though immortal, the weight of time doesn't leave him unscathed. His body is decaying so he has cybernetic implants to support him. He has lost his teeth (very unfortunate for a vampire hehe) so he is using a cybernetic claw to latch onto victims and then draw their blood out via the syringe.
Blood is then stored in the shoulder tank, from which it goes into the Wolf's Head blood pump which distributes it across the rest of the body.
He is from an aristocratic caste, which can be seen in his clothing.
He is hunched and drained, but still a predator and that was the look I was going for.
For the sculpt I used Zbrush and Blender.
I used Zremesh for retopo and automatic UV unwrap in Painter as this was imagined as a concept sculpt.
Textured in Substance Painter and Photoshop.
Rendered in Marmoset and Keyshot.
